NHTSA Releases a List of All Vehicles Affected by Takata Air Bag Recalls

NHTSA has released the full list of vehicles (by model year, make and model) affected by the Takata airbag recall. Consumers can also use the vehicle identification number look-up tool  at its Safercar.gov website or you can go directly to your vehicle manufacturer’s website see if a vehicle is included in the defective airbag recall.  To date it is estimated that over 33 million vehicles from 11 auto manufacturers are involved in the recall.
Takata Corp.  revealed last month it is recalling 33.8 million vehicles in the U.S. for airbags that could explode and send shrapnel flying at drivers and passengers. The defective airbags have been linked to seven deaths and over 100 injuries.
The full NHTSA list of vehicles with faulty airbags can be found here.
Terrell • Hogan will continue to update information on the Takata recall.  We continue to believe it is important to try to help prevent injuries and wrongful deaths. One way is to publish information about recalls of defective and dangerous products.
