Ford Recalling 1.2 million Vehicles for Defects

Ford Motor Co. is recalling almost 1.2 million SUVs and sedans for possible loss of power steering. The recall includes:

  • 82,576 2006-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zephyr and MKZ sedans for defects with the floor mats that may interfere with the operation of accelerator pedals.

Ford states that it is aware of 15 accidents related to the loss of power steering in the Explorers. Two of the accidents resulted in minor injuries.
