Volkswagon is recalling more than 94,000 Audi Q7 SUVs manufactured between 2018-2020 because of a head injury risk. The recall was announced last week.
The Safety Recall Report 20V-658 lists 2018-2020 Audi Q7 SUVs included in the recall.
The Defect
An inadequately manufactured part of the interior trim, padding for a C-pillar, may not meet federal safety standards for head injury prevention. There may not be enough padding in this rear door pillar to protect a passenger’s head during a crash.
The Remedy
Audi will replace the parts with improved ones, free of charge. The recall and repairs are expected to begin in December 2020.
