
- Change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Flip or rotate your mattress.
- Wash or replace your pillows.
- Inventory your medicine cabinet and pantry and get rid of expired items.
- Restock your medicine cabinet and pantry.
- Vacuum the coils on your refrigerator and freezer.
- Vacuum your clothes dryer vents and duct and make sure the outside vent is clear.
- Check and replace filters in heating and ac units, humidifiers, vacuum, as well as the water filter in your refrigerator.
- Clean the oven.
- Vacuum the fan on your computer, especially if it sits on the floor.
- Make sure you have enough batteries.
- Reverse your ceiling fans. Summer: counter-clockwise; Winter: clockwise.
- Check and clean your gutters.
- Winterize exterior faucets.
Remember to turn your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night and enjoy an extra hour of sleep Sunday!
