Toyota Recalls More Than 1.2 Million Vehicles for Airbag and Wiper Problems

Toyota Is Recalling 2003 and 2004 Corollas and 2006 through 2012 Lexus IS Vehicles.
The 752,000 Corollas are being recalled because the airbag control module may short out and cause the airbag to deploy.
The 270,000 Lexus IS are being recalled due to a problem with the front wipers.  The arm nut on the wipers may need to be tightened. If wipers are restricted by a buildup of heavy snow, one or both could become inoperative.
Toyota says that owners of the affected models will receive a letter telling them to bring their vehicles into dealers for repairs or they can contact the dealerships for more information.
