Individuals on the Autism Spectrum who live across the Northeast Florida area were the big winners at the recent HEAL Valley of Dreams Gala and Golf. HEAL, a local non profit foundation that stands for Healing Every Autistic Life, was created several years ago to help autistic children and their families living right here in Duval, St. Johns, Clay and surrounding counties. Terrell Hogan partner and President of HEAL, Alan Pickert, stated that the recent two day event raised over $143,000 for the local autism community!
“HEAL does such wonderful work in our local community that benefits so many people,” Alan Pickert said. “Many people don’t realize that since 2007, HEAL has raised over a million dollars ($1,000,000) to serve local families and individuals affected 
by autism. These funds are directed toward camps, educational programs, sports, the arts, and community projects solely for families on the First Coast.” Pickert went on to say, “Unlike many other autism organizations that are based nationally, 100% of all proceeds raised by HEAL stays locally to benefit our neighbors, friends and others living in North Florida that have been impacted by autism.
