Fiat Chrysler to Pay Record $105 Million Penalty

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has penalized Fiat Chrysler because the company had significantly underreported the number of death and injury claims due to defective vehicles.  NHTSA said that there are serious flaws in Fiat Chrysler’s collecting and and reporting the claims data, as required by federal law.
