Law & Politics magazine publishes the annual Super Lawyers publication to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and sophisticated consumers in the search for legal counsel.
More than 800,000 attorneys nationwide, and 44,000 in Florida, were invited to participate in the 2007 Super Lawyers survey. Participants were asked to nominate the best attorneys they´ve personally observed in action. Lawyers cannot vote for themselves. The publication’s research department examines the background and experience of each candidate, searching for evidence of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Hogan has focused his practice representing consumers who have been injured by defective products, asbestos exposure, auto and trucking accidents, multiple defendant litigation, and medical malpractice. He was a member of the team of lawyers selected to represent the State of Florida against the Tobacco industry. As president of Terrell • Hogan, he has built a firm with a reputation for legal acumen, passion for the law and commitment to community causes. In addition to his legal work, The Hogan Foundation supports many law schools across the state and several local organizations including the River Keepers, Mental Health Association, Students Working Against Tobacco and Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, among others.
Hard work and intellectual and legal integrity are the foundation of Yegelwel’s practice with Terrell • Hogan. He has spent the past 25 years protecting the consumer, practicing in the field of products liability and toxic torts and, in trials in which he has served as lead counsel, has obtained some of the largest verdicts in Florida for victims of asbestos diseases.
Pickert, former president of the Jacksonville Bar Association, focuses his practice on representing individuals who have been significantly injured due to automobile and trucking accidents, vaccines and exposure to asbestos, such as mesothelioma and lung cancer victims. He has been published twice for his articles in asbestos and medical malpractice and has successfully represented victims and families in over 150 wrongful death lawsuits. Pickert has received one of the highest honors possible from The Florida Bar – The President’s Pro Bono Service Award – for his work with the homeless and underprivileged.
Hogan, Yegelwel and Pickert have repeatedly received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
