Latest Study Is More Evidence That Asbestos Contaminated Talcum Powder Can Cause Mesothelioma/J&J Recall

A recent case study in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine delivers some strong evidence that exposure to asbestos-tainted talcum powder may cause malignant mesothelioma. 33 individuals who developed mesothelioma and did not come into contact with asbestos through their occupations  found via testing and digestion studies that the chrysotile asbestos which was found to cause their mesothelioma was also found in asbestos contaminated talcum powder.

Additionally, Johnson and Johnson announced today they were voluntarily recalling a specific lot of  baby powder they manufactured that appears to be contaminated with chrysotile asbestos.
