Ford Over 800,000 Vehicles For Defective Door Latches

Ford is recalling almost 830,000 vehicles because a pawl spring tab in the side door latch could break, stopping the door from latching. If door can be closed, it may unlatch while driving.

The recall includes the following vehicles: 2013-15 Ford C-MAX, 2013-15 Ford Escape, 2012-15 Ford Focus, 2015 Ford Mustang and Lincoln MKC, and 2014-16 Ford Transit Connect vehicles.
One reported accident and one reported injury may be related to this issue.
