9/30/10 Fisher-Price recalls 10.9 million toys

Fisher-Price announced a voluntary recall of 7 million Trikes and Tough Trikes toddler tricycles after receiving 10 reports of injury, 6 serious, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Fisher-Price has issued several recalls over the past decade, but most only affected 100,000 to 500,000 toys, whereas this recall will affect 10.9 million.

The tricycle recall involves the fourteen Fisher-Price Trikes and Tough Trikes toddler tricycles with model numbers listed below. The model numbers are located under the seat in the storage compartment.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately and remove them from children’s reach, and can contact Fisher-Price for a free replacement key.
