Virtual Distracted Driving Presentations

Dear Community Partner,

Even though texting and driving is both deadly and against the law, some people still risk it. Distracted Driving is another epidemic we’re facing! In early 2020, not one but two mobile device related use while driving laws became effective. They both enable primary stops by law enforcement for violation. One of the statutes is specifically related to texting while driving, and the other is related to handheld use of a wireless device in school and road work zones.

As you may be aware, the general rule of law indicates that if an employee causes an accident or injury while doing his or her job, acting on the employer’s behalf, or carrying out company business, the employer may be held liable for damages & injury. Further, an employee injured on the job may be eligible for workers’ compensation and off work for an extended period.

As a service to the community, the Terrell • Hogan Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Law Firm is sounding the alarm about distracted driving by providing virtual live presentations through group technology, to employers and employees in various industries, business groups, neighborhood and civic organizations, schools and others. Whether it’s a first time, refresher, or new hires presentation, safety is all our concern!

Every form of distracted driving can be controlled by the driver and eliminated. As part of our Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign, we’re pleased to offer two presentations: one for adults, For the Workforce, and one for teen drivers, End Distracted Driving. Please contact Windy Foden at (904) 632-2424 to have one of us, or a member of the firm, lead a brief conversation at one of your upcoming meetings. Together, we can help save lives.

Looking forward to hearing from you when you are NOT driving!

Sincerely,
