The Great Ponte Vedra Paddle for HEAL (Heal Every Autistic Life) was held over the Labor Day weekend. Many of the Terrell • Hogan attorneys donated their time and/or money to this important event raising more than $30,000 for HEAL and the autism community in Jacksonville.
Alan Pickert, HEAL president personally thanked firm members Tim Ellis, Patty Dodson, Chris Burns, Anita Pryor, Mike Sharrit, Wayne Hogan and Bruce Maxwell who donated their time or money to help make this Event successful. The Lawyers for Autism, the team Pickert paddled for during the Event, raised the most money of the 41 teams i.e. $7,250.
A special thank you to Tim Ellis and his wife Teri. Tim was instrumental in putting this Event together. He was nothing short of fantastic and he deserves a huge round of applause. Teri spearheaded the numerous auctions that added another $1,000 to the funds raised.
HEAL is a local non profit that raises and donates 100% of their proceeds to help sponsor and conduct numerous camps, educational programs, and parent support groups for children on the autism spectrum and their families. All the money raised helps those in Jacksonville—it is not a national program. This summer alone, HEAL conducted 18 different camps for over 350 autistic children here in town ranging in different themes such as theatre, surfing, equestrian, educational, and artistic. You can learn all about HEAL by going to the website: www.healautismnow.org
Be sure to mark your schedules to attend the HEAL Gala and Golf Events that take place Dec 10th and Dec 11th.
