Evan Yegelwel, Michael Sharrit and Chris Shakib Attend Justice Teaching Seminar

Terrell • Hogan attorneys Evan J. Yegelwel, Michael S. Sharrit, and Chris Shakib recently attended a training class led by Chief Justice R. Fred Lewis of the Florida Supreme Court in preparation for their involvement in Justice Teaching. The program is designed to bring the constitutional doctrines of our government into vivid focus for elementary, middle, and high school students.  Sponsored by The Florida Bar, the Florida Association of District School Superintendents, and The Florida Law-Related Education Association, Justice Teaching pairs judges and attorneys with local schools, where they teach classes about Florida’s justice system and laws.
“This is a terrific opportunity to engage young people and create practical awareness and enthusiasm about our system of justice and Constitution,” said Sharrit.
“In the classes we will be teaching, we hope to help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through role-playing exercises about our justice system,” added Shakib.
“And who knows,” said Yegelwel, “we might be teaching future Terrell • Hogan attorneys.”
