FDA Warns of Undeclared Ingredients of Diabetes Treatments

Nearly 26 million Americans have diabetes, consumers who have been targeted by unscrupulous companies. The FDA has issued  warning letters to 15 companies, both domestic and foreign, stating that the sale of their products to treat diabetes and its complications violates federal law.   The below table provides the names of these companies and their dangerous products:

These products are sold on-line and in stores, some marketed as dietary supplements and “natural” treatments. The FDA is taking action to remove these products which falsely claim to mitigate, treat, cure, or prevent diabetes and its complications. The FDA is also advising consumers not to use these or similar products because they may contain harmful ingredients, including active pharmaceutical ingredients in unknown quantities and unapproved drugs.
