Construction site workers face many hazards and work-related injuries. Construction work is one of the most dangerous jobs in terms of injury of any industry. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that for the more than 390,000 persons employed in Florida´s construction industry, over 30,000 (roughly 8%) reported work-related injuries or illnesses in 2000 alone.
