Biography

Anita Pryor is a partner with Terrell Hogan and has been with the firm since 1990.  She graduated from Florida State University with her law degree in 1988. Before becoming an attorney, Anita practiced nursing for several years specializing in critical care nursing. After receiving both her bachelors' and masters' degrees in nursing, she served as a Critical Care Nurse Specialist in a large teaching hospital in California participating in research and the supervision of the education for critical care nurses.  This experience resulted in two publications in a very prestigious medical journal of research that Anita conducted herself.  Anita was also an Assistant Professor of Nursing at two universities. She taught the very complicated subject of pathophysiology in both the undergraduate as well as graduate levels. At the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Anita was voted teacher of the year by the graduate students.  She maintains her Florida and Texas nursing licenses and has been a featured speaker at many nursing programs.

With her degrees in law and nursing, Anita provides her clients with a strong advocate for those who have been wrongfully injured. In her legal practice, she has had extensive experience handling complex defective products cases.  She has represented victims of asbestos exposure diagnosed with Mesothelioma and Lung Cancer for 19 years. In addition, she has also handled other complex litigation involving defective hip and knee prostheses, as well as defective hernia implants. Her work on these cases has resulted in millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for the victims and their families.

Away from the office, Anita devotes her time to her husband and two sons. She also has served on the Board of Trustees of her church.
