Playtex is Recalling Breast Pump Power Adapters for Shock Risk

Playtex is recalling AC/DC power adapters that are used with the Playtex Nurser Deluxe Double Electric Breast Pump. The casing on some adapters may become loose and separate, resulting in the possibility of electric shock. Women should immediately discontinue use if the adapter shows signs of separating. No injuries have been reported yet, but there is the potential for personal injuries and even deaths from electrocution.
The recalled adapters can be identified by product serial number (P12324-XXXX through P13205-XXXX) or by the adapter production code (1241 through 1324). They were sold with the Playtex Nurser Deluxe Double Electric Breast Pump. They were not sold separately.
Playtex asks that consumers who have purchased these should contact them for a replacement adapter by calling 1-888-207-1429 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.playtexproducts.com.
