Honda is Recalling 777,000 Pilot and Odyssey Vehicles for Deployment of Driver Side Airbags

Honda is recalling 2009-2013 Honda Pilot and 2011-2013 Honda Odyssey vehicles to inspect and replace the driver’s side airbag.  It has been reported that there is the potential that some of the vehicles were assembled without some of the rivets that secure the airbag’s plastic cover. If the rivets are missing, the airbag may not deploy properly, which increases the risk of injury in a crash. There have been no crashes or injuries reported.
Honda stated that it is mailing out notifications to Pilot and Odyssey owners in February.  If you own one of these vehicles, you can bring it to a dealership for inspection and replacement of the driver’s side airbag if necessary.
