Terrell Hogan - Vaccines

Although vaccines help many, they can also cause serious injury which is why the Federal Government created the National Vaccine Injury Court in Washington, DC in 1986. The little known Court is governed by federal law and is where a vaccine injure individual must file their lawsuit and prove a vaccine caused their injuries and subsequent damages. However, these cases are incredibly complex and only a handful of attorneys nationwide are licensed to practice law in this highly specialized Federal Court. Luckily for vaccine injured families, Terrell Hogan has two such attorneys: Alan M Pickert and Bruce Anderson.

Alan Pickert, who has received statewide recognition for his legal abilities by being selected as one of Florida’s Legal Elite and Florida Super Lawyer by two different organizations and has authored several legal articles which have been published in magazines, has filed over 50 vaccine injury lawsuits during his career. He recently represented a young child who was severely injured from receiving the DTaP vaccine and obtained a multi-million dollar award for the family.

Vaccine Court has a very short and strict statute of limitations. Therefore, if an individual has an adverse reaction to a vaccine resulting in injury, the case must be filed in Vaccine Court within three years of when the first symptom of injury occurs. Otherwise, the case is barred. If successful in Vaccine Court, the federal judges may award damages for pain and suffering, future wage loss, past medical expenses paid, and future medical expenses.
